"I admit it: I always liked "A Certain Girl" by Ernie K-Doe which never made the big time. And wasn't he Lee Dorsey anyway? No, but they both worked with Musicmeister Allen Toussaint way down yonder in New Orleans. This package is replete with music from the Big Easy. Smiley Lewis with the original and racier version of "One Night" that Elvis Presley co-opted plus "I Hear You Knocking" (which Gale Storm recorded), Benny Spellman with 1962's "Lipstick Traces" and "Fortune Teller", Irma Thomas with the original "Time is On My Side" (which the Rolling Stones overshadowed with their cover when any British group was worshiped)--they are all here. And there is MUCH more. I hope a lot of people discover and buy this because it is great and it is HISTORY."
