A good CD but far from the best in this series

(4 out of 5 stars)
"The best songs on this disc include Suzi Quatro-If You Can't Give Me Love, both songs by The Stranglers, and Tavares-More Than a Woman (whose cover version I like even better than the Bee Gees' original version). If Gerry Rafferty-Baker Street had been the full length version of the song here than that would also rank among the best but the version here is an edited one so points off the CD for that.
Frankie Miller-Darlin' and Dr. Feelgood-Down at the Doctors are good songs. Dr. Feelgood would fit right in on classic rock stations.
However, a lot of the other songs on here are no great shakes such as The Shadows-Don't Cry for Me Argentina (an instrumental, from the musical Evita as this play was real big at this time), Tom Robinson Band-Don't Take No for an Answer (which is nowhere near as good as 2-4-6-8-Motorway), both Marshall Hain songs, Dancing in the City and Coming Home (adult contemporary sounding music), and Racey-Lay Your Love on Me. They are all OK but don't stand out.
This CD gets 3.5 stars.
FYI-More Like the Movies is by Dr. Hook"
