CD Reviews

Gob's "Paint It Black" is incredible!!!

"Thanks to the Stones, Gob did there own version of Paint It Black. I saw the preview of Stir of Echoes with it playing in the background. I went to see a movie the next day just to see the preview with the song again. I don't know about the other songs, but Gob's is a masterpiece."
If you liked the movie, buy the soundtrack.

"The movie was more than good. It was unfortunate that it came out after Sixth Sense, and therefore, appears that it is just a spin off. Don't bother comparing the two films. All the instrumental music is awesome. It gets the adrenaline flowing, to say the least. The best songs are "Paint it Black", of course, and the Poe song "Hello". I wouldn't expect Beth Orton to have a song put on this soundtrack, but its well worth it as well. Check out the movie with an open mind, buy the soundtrack and play it with the lights off."
Dark, tense music
Rachel Koenig | 09/22/1999
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I originally heard the Gob song in the trailer, and I was pleasantly surprised that the song was also in the movie _and_ on the soundtrack. Often on soundtracks(like Disturbing Behavior's), we get cheated out of the really good songs and get stuck with filler material. Not the case with this one. The music was perfect for the movie's dark, chaotic tone. Highly recommended."
