CD Reviews

Music from the Real World
Holly | USA | 07/04/2000
(3 out of 5 stars)

"This CD is an interesting collaboration, considering you've got a couple of different types of music on it, from pop rock (Toad the Wet Sproket) to techno (Crystal Method) to punk rock (MXPX). For people who hate to have one type of music label all their listenings, this CD is for you. The CD gives you a little taste of everything, even some country music to the disdain of many. Be ready to be diversified, but don't expect to recognize many of the songs on this CD. Buy it if you listen to every genre of music."
I totally think and now KNow This Freakin CD Rocks for me.

"Well even though The Mtv Real World: New Orleans CD is a combination of Kind of odd songs it's a good variation of odd songs. I know that MxPx and Garbage are the ones mostly known here but as for the others it would probably open your mind to other types of music. Like The Promise Ring. I never thought that I'd enjoyed it that much. I liked every song in this well made up CD. My Fav. of all time would Be Garbage: YOu look so fine. And the wierd thing is that my favorite cast member and who i think is also the cutest (duh) chose it which is DANNY..."
Not buying into the Real World hype...

"...but there's a wide variety of great songs on this CD. I love me some Paul Simon, and the offerings from Garbage and Big Head Todd are favorites as well. It's the kind of compilation that would make a good road trip mix."
