Vanlustbader burst onto the australian scene in 2004 with their triple j hit single 'it's all about'. The track struck an instant chord with music fans across the country. Their follow up single 'all you people' attracted even broader radio support and was picked up by a number of key regional networks.· Vanlustbader have since toured with fellow countrymen jet, selling out the first pressing of the 'power makes sense' ep independently (5000 copies) and having three (out of five) tracks from their debut ep play-listed on high rotation on triple j, which led producer jim abiss (kasabian, placebo, the music, editors, ladytron and dj shadow) to hot-foot it over to oz, determined to work his magic on the album 'the people vs vanlustbader', due for release later this year.The first single to spawn from the album, 'communiqué' mixes a vibrant rock-pop energy with a blistering chorus that is sure to infect audiences with a heat wave of summer rock.
