Very exotic!

"If you love the sound and style of this kind of music - and I do! - then having this CD is an exquisite choice! I don't know other musicians/interpreters of this style, but I am pretty sure that the musicians on this one are TOP NOTCH! The sound is crisp and clear although, in my opinion, I had preferred a bit more presence of the nadaswaram in the foreground as the violin dominates as the first instrument. And I know that the Nadaswaram is pretty loud and penetrating compared to a violin!
But its sound is haunting and beautiful as well!
These musicians are true virtuosos.If however you are not into Indian music at all (or only like Indian classical music) this CD might alienate you as your ears may not be used to listening to such exotic sounds!"

"This CD gets 4.5 stars from me. The only reason that I don't give it five is because I reserve that rating for music that impresses me deeply. That being said, this music rocks out. Very lively, very well played, and very well recorded. Unlike the previous reviewer, I don't find the violin too much out front. This CD is well worth checking out."
