"I heard the song "Black & White" on the radio and it caught my interest. Then I ordered the album...and what an album! It's not that often you buy and album and you can say that every single song is great. The Upper Room makes brilliant popmusic. They fly around in the area between Morrissey, Oasis, Coldplay and Travis. They are some kind of blend of these artists. If you like the single "Black & White" you'll love the rest of this album. Other good songs are: "All Over This Town", "Never Come Back" and "Portrait". BUY THIS ALBUM NOW !!"

"a total ace of an album. largely britpop by the numbers, which is a hardly a fault. it's charming and immediate throughout. seems like a safe bet these guys are already on the way to being uk superstars, yet us americans will probably get stuck buying the $20+ import. well worth it though. standouts include album opener "all over this town," "your body" and "never come back," though really any of a half-dozen cuts would sound smashing in between any number of britpop's "founding fathers?""
