Led by Artistic Director and conductor Suzi Digby, the talented English choral ensemble ORA was founded in 2014. The choir's mission is to showcase 'classic' masterpieces of Renaissance choral music alongside works by contemporary composers. For Upheld by Stillness, the group's harmonia mundi debut, ORA asked several composers to write works reflecting on the music of William Byrd, including his Mass for Five Voices. Included here, paired with Byrd's originals, are world premiere recordings of newly commissioned works by Roxanna Panufnik, Francis Pott, Alexander L'Estrange, Owain Park, Charlotte Bray and Roderick Williams.
