Subject: I have found a CD that I think you would enjoy
Full of depth and interest upon every listen
(5 out of 5 stars)
"Russell Mills (the painter) along with Tom Smyth and Will Joss from the group Miasma made this great album from 1996. More obvious names guesting include Michael Brook, The Edge, Brian Eno, Roger Eno, Robin Guthrie, David Sylvian, Kevin Shields, and Bill Laswell. Sylvian sings on "How Safe Is Deep?", Brook plays infinite guitar on the 14+ minute "Stone's Eggs", and nothing is freakier than two minutes of voice samples layered with guitar blasts halfway through the nearly 11-minute "Rain In Our Room" before the beat kicks back in. Undark was issued on the em:t label in England. It's a brilliant aural display of what Mills's paintings might sound like. Despite the stellar roster of musician help, this album has not received a lot of notice. That's a shame, because I still listen to it regularly and find it to be full of depth and interest upon every listen. I hope others discover this album and enjoy as much as I have."
