"Wow, I haven't heard anything this good since the Pearlfishers (best pop band out there) and the newest Fountains of Wayne. This cd is loaded with wry humor, great melodies and harmonies and real MUSIC! I don't understand the negative reviews, you are entitled to your opinion. But you are also entitled to my opinion! I am a professional musician and I love good, smart pop. I am into Dada, Wondermints, Cheese, FOW, and bands of that ilk. So, if you like really great pop, you can't go wrong with this!!"

Very hip, truly "alternative" pop

"I think that Justin and the McDermotts had a lot of fun on this one. What I noticed first of all is how, with the exception of "She Cuts Her Own Fringe", it REALLY doesn't sound like it's aimed for a cookie-cutter music industry. This is actually a good thing given how these guys can't help but put the same musical craftsmanship and care into each track that they're individually known for on past recordings. The songs are good and catchy and a few need several listens to grow on you. Personally, I think it's a welcome change to hear Justin Currie sing about topics other than failed relationships, hangovers, and foul weather. He sounds like he's having fun. If you're adventurous and don't mind the occasional profanity, then this collection is a treat and good laugh. I look forward to what these guys do in the future."
