A great Double CD

"One of Italy's best rock singers (again) comes out with a best of compilation. I know, I know, you may be thinking "Another one"? and the answer is "yes".What makes this collection great is the remastering job that was taken for this project, it was given love and care that rarely is given when remastering a lot of times. If you are reading this, you know his music or have heard of his music, and are intrested. If you are a long time fan (like myself) re-aquaint yourself with these songs like re-aquainting yourself with an old friend. If you are a new fan or know some of these songs, this is a GREAT place to start and will give you an idea what albums to search out in the future.Big plus, two new songs and 3 in English. The version of Gli Altri Siamo Now (we are all the same) in English is not the full translation but hits the sentiment of the original dead on. You and I (ti amo) is also a good translation (not the botch job that Laura Branigan did on her version) and done well. Only gripe, cd says 'orignal versions' and there was an English version from NZ sung by tozzi and I think that is a differant recording (unless this song was remixed). The 3rd song in English is Gloria. Now be warned, if you heard Tozzi's 1982 English version (released on a small lable here in the states to try and break him through here and to cash in on Ms. Branigans pitisul translation) you will not get that version (So if you still have the 7" or 12" versions - hold on to them). Here he opts for the Branigan translation, but does a good job on it. This is my ONLY complaint (aside from the lack of inclusionof the Song Hurrah- both Italian and English). But don't let this last paragraph sway away from buying this cd collection, it is worth EVERY PENNY."
