Synopsis

Product Description

One the trio version and one the remixed version by Markymix (www.markymix.com,) well known in the underground world for his mixes and having worked with Erasure on their greatest hits remix CD and the hit "Oh'L'Amour." Tyler's credits include benefits for such organizations as "Save the Children" and the Tsunani Disaster. A Portion of the Sales of this EP will be donated to Season of Concern (www.seasonofconcern.org) an organization close to the hearts of both Ralph Lampkin, Jr; the producer and Tyler.

CD Reviews

Poorly produced and performed CD

"Simply put, I have never heard anything like this in my life. And I don't mean that in a good way. The only other time i've heard such a poorly produced cd was by that female impersonator. I forget his name. At last, i wouldn't live on this street or any other street where this guy is singing.

This is not jazz

"I am tired of male theater singers calling themselves "jazz singers." Just because someone has a jazz combo behind them, does not make one a jazz singer.

His version of On The Steeet where You Live is not good, especially when he sings the line "does enchantment pour out of every door," which is so contrived and phony.

And who ever heard of a jazz CD with dance mixes on it. What kind of producer would even do this? Is he going to be doing dance mixes of Billie Holiday singing Strange Fruit or God Bless The Child next? It's a travesty.

Your best bet is to stick with the real male jazz or standards singers: Peter Cincotti, Kurt Elling, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr.

My advice to the singer is get a new producer and do musical theater material. You would be serving yourself better.

I also see that the "Sanzo" reviewer has something in common with Mr. Stephenson. They like to review their own product. It's ironic that Sanzo writes a book about obsession. It seems that Sanzo and Stephenson are obsessed with their own products. Is Barbra Streisand going to be writing her own reviews next when people criticize her recordings. It makes me definitely not want to read Sanzo's books about obsession. Why would I want to read someone's advice, when they cannot adhere to it themselves?"
