Synopsis

Album Description

Learning letter sounds has never been more fun! Children repeat letter sounds in a catchy rhythm and then repeat words that have that initial consonant sound. In the review section, children say the letter sound after being prompted. In the "Vowel Song," fun characters such as the Cat on the Mat, the Pig with a Wig and the Fox on a Box will help children remember each of the short vowel sounds. With the fifties twist, children will learn the long vowel sounds as they sing along to the boppin' music. All long and short vowels are taught as well as introducing "y" as a vowel.

"This is a good cassette. It has helped my daughter learn all the sounds of each letter before the age of 2. She did have some prior experience with my using flashcards and reading to her a lot though.The one thing that would make it better is also including the combination sounds such as ch, th, ph, etc. And perhaps an intro to blending the sounds together to form words."
