""Strange Light From The East" contains the 6 singles released by Tuesday's Children on 4 different labels between 1966 and 1969 when the band morphed into the heavier, more progressive band Czar, who released a self-titled album, essential to all fans of late 60s/early 70s British psychedelic/progressive rock. "Czar" is available from Sunbeam Records with the original lp joined by 8 bonus tracks. Rev-Ola's release of Tuesdays Children contains all the single sides as well as 6 bonus tracks. Recorded and released between 1966 and 1969 the 18 tracks on "Strange Light" document the evolution of the band from pop psych to a heavier, more progressive sounding unit. There are no throw-away tracks to be found on this disc and it provides all the evidence necessary to show why the band was given the album offer. I strongly suggest this disc be purchased in unison with Sunbeam's reissue of "Czar." Listened to in sequence the listener is able to place both discs in perspective and to trace the maturing of the members as songwriters and musicians. Both discs are excellent in their own right, but much more fulfilling when digested together. Luckily both discs are available at quite reasonable prices from Amazon drop shippers. Be sure to pick them up now, before they go out of print, and are available with so many bonus tracks. So snag them up and prepare for a trip back in time. A good trip."
