"There were no liner notes on my vinyl copy recorded for the Phillips label. This was a fiery English Big Band Tubby Hayes led in 1966-67 with the likes of Kenny Baker and Kenny Wheeler on trumpets, Ronnie Scott tenor sax, Kieth Christie Trombone, Roy Wilcox alto sax, Gordon Beck piano, Jeff Clyne bass and Johnny Butts on drums. There are spirited solos on every cut and great ensemble work in between. 41 years later and this band still kicks. The sound is excellent and the recording is recommended listening."
