CD Reviews

A solid, melodic double album.
alex bushman | Michigan | 10/22/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Their is very Who-esque, in my opinion and I was somewhat tickled when I found out that "Our Love Was" was a Who cover (very expertly done). It's very simple and unfettered but beautiful guitar pop. Beth Filla's voice has a gentle coaxing to it and she draws you into the music they're laying down. Luzern is a little different than a Secret Safe. One is totally acoustic and the other one is a mix. So, I guess it depends on what mood you're in. They compliment each other well, however, they don't quite come off as two parts of one whole, but rather two different and separate albums released together. If you like this band you'll be giddy anyway, because they deliver the goods."
Best of philly pop
