"This is the first Troll album I've heard thus far, and i must say i see a lot of promise, with a lot of room to grow. What Nagash seems to imitate is old Immortal around the time of the "At the heart of winter album" minus the vocals. If you aren't familiar with Kovenant (or Covenant), the vocals may take some getting used to. Nagash's style is to shreek and squeal mixed with a zombified death march singing voice, which by the way gets a little muddied up in this particular mix. With the exception of 3, I think all the tracks are good and heavy death-esque metal mixed with the some of the melodicsm that you may find in a well trained black metal band. I particularly enjoyed the bass solo in "Rex Lamictal". The Tracks that are dull, and have no musical direction or importance to the rest of the album include, "Intro: My Sculphur Lover ","Intermission 666 "Outro: Please the Pain". these is what bogs the album down. The good tracks on the album aren't necessarily gold either, but are definately worth a polished silver. I would recommend this as a not great but solid album. I will definatly be looking at what Troll does in the future"
