Synopsis

Product Description
Following a long sabbatical, the cult band Troll emerges from the blackened Norwegian mist. The legendary formation revolving around frontman Nagash (ex Dimmu Borgir, The Kovenant) returns to pay homage to the true black metal genre. Raging infernal blastbeats, chilling guitar riffs, cold menacing keyboard melodies, and demonic vocals shape Troll's sound to create a pitch-black atmosphere that can only come straight from the depths of hell. "Neo-Satanic Supremacy" comprises 10 hymns to the Horned One and delivers an early highlight for the new dark year ahead.

CD Reviews

Troll is Back!
Mortiis558 | Texas | 03/10/2010
(5 out of 5 stars)

"With Neo-Satanic Supremacy Nagash has returned to his roots and what he does best. Now don't think this is a throwback to 1992 but it is a lot more melodic than the two previous offerings from Troll. It combines the best of what black metal used to be and has moved it into the present to form what I think is one of the best black metal albums to come out in recent times. The title track stands out as an early favorite for me, but they all are great songs. If you like black metal you would be remiss to pass this album up."
A return to form

(4 out of 5 stars)

"Troll is a Norwegian band formed by Nagash of Dimmu Borgir and Kovenant. The first two albums Trollstorms Over Nidingjuv and Drep De Kristne are both symphonic black metal but after that Nagash started going into a thrashier/industrial black metal with The Lost Predators and Universal. With Neo-Satanic Supremacy it is a return to the sound of the two first albums which is a good thing....not to say the other two are bad albums. Some good standout tracks on this album are 'Ga Til Krig' 'Burn the Witch', the title track, and 'Smetens Rike'. I'm glad to see that Nagash is back doing things that he used to. Check it out for yourself. \m/"
