CD Reviews

Another Triumph for Swan Princess
dragon_fire | 03/11/2005
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Triumph of a Heart is the next single of the critically acclaimed album by Bjork titled "Medulla".

This version of the single contains the radio edit of "Triumph of a Heart" which, although barely reaching 3 minutes, is a great track. I give this song 5 out of 5 stars.

"Desired Constellation" is the other song on the single and is nearly as great as the version that appeared on Medulla. It has a dark brooding feeling to it. I give this song 4.5 stars out of 5."
Another Triumph
Dogville | Sunny Island | 03/08/2005
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Hot on the wheels of the fantastic Who is It, Bjork releases the next gem off Medulla, Triumph Of A Heart. The singles features an edited version of the track and the Ben Frost's School of Engineering Mix of the splendid Desired Constellation.

Triumph Of A Heart is a song set against a mid-tempo soundtrack and raw human vocal effects. With lyrics that run through the human organs, Bjork emotes a certain kind of rawness that is solely expressed from the heart. Slightly quirky lyrics but nontheless refreshing.

The remix of Desired Constellation turned the original even darker with an almost spine chilling feel to it.

A worthy followup. Check out the DVD single with the very funny story of the love between Bjork and her cat lover from the stellar Spike Jonze."
