"Baladas de Amor (Love Ballads) showcases the marvelous talents of Trio Los Panchos, also known simply as Los Panchos. Trio Los Panchos enjoyed much success; but just as others have noted you don't need to know a single word of Spanish to appreciate the beauty of these timeless ballads. They sing and play with so much emotion; you can really sense it as you listen. There is also a terrific song with Eydie Gorme joining Trio Los Panchos. The sound quality on this CD is excellent and I love that artwork.

"Por el Amor de Una Mujer (Because of the Love of a Woman)" starts the track set off with a fine love song by Trio Los Panchos; and they never skip a beat! They use their guitars and the percussion adds a lot to the natural beauty of this number. "Y Cómo Es Él (And How Is He)" is another stunner; Trio Los Panchos harmonizes faultlessly and the melody is easy on the ear. "Esta Cobardía (This Cowardice)" impresses me; these three musicians and vocalists never let go of a superfluous note and that's grand. Their excellent diction bolsters their performance even more; and that's grand.

"Detalls" continues the magical artistry with another love song crafted with care and good judgment; this is great music for dancing all alone late at night in your living room with your sweetheart. I love it! "Momentos (Moments)" is particularly beautiful; "Momentos" is a major highlight of this CD and I could never tire of hearing Trio Los Panchos do this one so very well! Now THAT'S what I call music!

"Voy a Perder la Cabeza Por Tu Amor (which essentially means I'm Going to Go Crazy for Your Love)" features elegant arrangements and perfect harmonizing; this ballad lacks nothing--this is all THAT good. "Voy a Perder la Cabeza Por Tu Amor" is quite a strong number and it, too, is a major highlight of this CD. I predict you'll enjoy this one if you haven't heard it before. In addition, "Nosotros (Us)" features the fine vocalizing talent of Eydie Gorme; Eydie sings this wonderfully and she delivers this with all her heart and soul--what a love song!

"Adoro (I Worship)" boasts a very lush musical arrangement; and listen for "Cuando Estoy Contigo (When I Am with You);" "Cuando Estoy Contigo" charms me with its beauty and the strings work wonders for this number. The trio sings this wonderfully, too. "Cosas Imposibles (Impossible Things)" again puts Trio Los Panchos squarely front and center--right where they belonged and always will belong. "Cosas Imposibles" is a true masterpiece. "Mía (Mine)" gets a very sensitive treatment; and the CD ends with "Y... (And...)." "Y..." uses key modulations and subtle yet effective tempo changes to make this shine--and it works well.

Although Trio Los Panchos still performs; the original lineup is long gone. This group certainly produced great music in their heyday; and this is splendid music for anyone who enjoys traditional, classic Spanish love songs. It's also an excellent introductory CD for anyone who wants to become familiar with the artistry of Trio Los Panchos.

"Above all, their taste appears in Adoro in well known music, and guitar sound tinged with sorrow splendid harmony is very desirable."
