Cactus is the fourth recording by the Trio Franois Bourassa, one of Canada's busiest and most popular jazz groups. In addition to Franois Bourassa, Yves and Guy Boisvert, the musicians are joined on Cactus by saxophonist Andr Leroux, a very strong, sensitive player who brings together something very strong and musical. Playing together for so long, the group is both greater than the sum of its parts, yet the individual players are enhanced by the group as well.
