CD Reviews

Wow...

"I bought this cd on a whim, simply because I'm a big LOTR fan & this looked like it might have a similar style of music. Its a bit different, but certainly not in a bad way...in a very good way! Celtic? Nah...I'd say Celtic-infulenced, at best, but I didnt buy it expecting pure Celtic. I get that "woodland/fantasy" feeling I was hoping for, from listening to it!

Its very relaxing & very well done...I'd describe it as Yanni (light instrumentals) meets Enya (calm, soothing vocals), with just a tad of occasional Kitaro (guitar on a couple tracks).

All in all, I consider this a terrific cd to listen to when you need to relax. I'd been waiting for quite awhile for the next installment in this series...wish it would come out soon!!"
Real Connection To Lord of the Rings, Language

(5 out of 5 stars)

"I agree that this is exelent music, and is one of my favorites (it was thru trying to track this vocal artist that I was turned to a couple of other favorite vocals, including Enya). It is worth noting that the connection to Lord of the Rings DOES exist. Beyond the fact that the music was suppose to be inspired by it, I challange anyone who has listened to the CD several times to listen to the music being played during the credits of the movie and not reconize it immediatly. As for the language, I believe the language of most of the chants (chant is a loose term at best, it is beautiful music, and not at all like chant music) is Gallic, I may be wrong, but I do know that it is a old northern Anglio-Saxton language (with the exception of I think two tracks). I think it was meant to sound similar to the elven language displayed throughout the movie-the language has a similar musical quality to it."
Not LOTR but amazing none the less...

"If you are looking for a cheap LOTR CD, this isn't it.

If you are looking for a relaxing/invigorating listening experience with airy, ethereal vocals and delicate music with an addicting, heartbeat like pulse, look no further.

This CD, while the name is misleading, will definitely lead you into a world of fantasy - one you journey into on your own, and that no Hollywood movie company can ruin."
