This is the soundtrack for the award-winning Graphic Novel "Blankets." The cover is a new wraparound illustration by the great Craig Thompson and the atmospheric instrumental music is by the band Tracker. Reading a comic while listening to its soundtrack is a unique experience. In fact, the only other graphic novel I know of that has a soundtrack is Daniel Clowes' "Like a Velvet Glove Cast in Iron." The "Velvet Glove" soundtrack was provided by the amazingly talented Tim Hensley going under the name "Victor Banana." The two soundtracks are as different as the books themselves. Hensley captures the off-kilter creepiness of "Velvet Glove" while Tracker's tracks are perfect for the beautiful coming-of-age love story that is "Blankets."

Great companion to the book

"I'm a big fan of graphic novels and I also really appreciate ambiant music, so this is a real winner for me. I think the music really reflects the theme of first love in wintertime. It sounds a little like Moby's "Ambiant" mixed with David Byrne's "Lead us not into temptation". The first track is my favorite, and sets the tone for the rest of the album (and the book, for that matter)."
