Lazy Dog & Soul Vision Experiment!!!
Kyle Araujo | RSA | 06/01/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"A massive Lazy Dog/Ben Watt & Soul Vision production over Everything But The Girl's previously released hit called ''Wrong''. Moreover...a personal dedication to Tracey Thorn (female vocalist of EBTG).Being a huge fan of their Drum-N-Bass & Trip-Hop album titled ''Walking Wounded'' and the song ''Wrong'', I was forced into getting this. I first heard it playing on the radio where it riveted to #1 and spent a LONG time on the 100 Billboard Dance Charts. This has to be one of the COOLEST dance songs out there!!!!!!, it has such a premiere sound about it. I can guarantee you, that you have never heard a dance song like this! (unless it was Soul Vision's/Sandy Rivera's edition). It's sounds so original and has so much technique-- sounds a bit creepy too.Track 1, (Lazy Dog Bootleg Mix). Starts off with a BIG beat, as a menacing sound battles its way to get into the song, the beats are winning it over, BUT? the sound effect gets louder and makes battle to the beats...when the next minute the beat stops IMMEDIATELY, with a slight over-looped and tripping sound...the atmosphere is almost as if the song froze in mid air...THEN!!! a driven sound starts working it's way to?---cos it's goes soooo HIGH!!!!. The beats make battle again and come back into the song, then (THE BEST PART OF THE SONG!), Tracey Thorn's incredible voice shimmers through ''Wherever You Go, I will Follow You...Cos I Was Wrong''. This song Kicks A$$!!The (Lazy Dog Bootleg Vocal) & (Lazy Dog Bootleg Dub) is the same kind of fixation, just the one is shorter and a vocal mix, edited for radio play (cos track 1 is just too startling to be played in it's full version.) The (Lazy Dog Bootleg Dub) is a dubbed version, the beat is a little more pronounced, with vocal enhancements in random places, overall a great dub. I like all three versions, but my ultimate favorite is track 1.Totally awesome!, I can't believe that such a cool song like this- only costs 11 bucks!!, What a great item!. More Excellent work! yet again from Tracey Thorn, Ben Watt and a big thanks to Soul Vision for the astounding samples."
