The late great Chamaco Ramirez was a great sonero whose lightning-fast, witty and unapologetically street-flavored soneos (improvisations) were nothing short of remarkable. ''Evelio Y La Rumba'', ''Casimira'', ''Trucutu'', ''A La Yumbae'' and the immortal title track are superb examples of classic 1970s Salsa. The band's musicians' aggressive, no-holds-barred and very funky playing compliments Chamaco's singing style perfectly. ''Salsa Dura'' at it's best!
