From the Liner Notes --- I love cocktail parties, well; I really love to people watch at cocktail parties. One observation while I was partaking in one such event was that just about every aspect of love or relationships can be witnessed at a party if it s large enough. No, really... try this - when you arrive at a party, go right to the bar and grab your favorite martini (or other adult beverage of choice) and then make your way through the crowd. As you walk, listen to the snippets of conversations that you overhear. You can find couples that are still gushing over each other, couples that had a fight just before they came in, people introducing two friends for the first time, couples celebrating years together it s all there. All of the songs on this album were compiled based on my experiences and observations that have been done over the years while at parties or in restaurants or even just walking down the street. Think of this album as a party for your ears. Buddy and I have tried to recreate a great party atmosphere with his trio and you will notice that with few exceptions the music doesn t stop. So, we hope you enjoy the party.
