"I bought this album for no other reason than Natacha Atlas featured on one of his songs. I am very glad I bought it. This is a fresh North Africa sound, which mixes a lot of western Influence in it, very much like Natacha Atlas herself. Wont find any pop on this like Alabina, Najwa, Nawal or Asalah, but that is a good thing. The song she sings is worth the money for the CD itself, but there are new gems for me on this album. Vocals by artists like Saana Chbat and Lubna Menouar will have me looking for more of them in the future. I am going to the Middle East in Sept and will certainly do my best to find more of them. I highly recommend this CD to everyone, especially listeners and fans of Natacha Atlas and Transglobal Underground. It will not be money wasted. And, of course do not forget to get the new Natacha Atlas CD out, not currenly offered on here, but rather on Amazon.com.uk, the British site."
Arab Oldies Remixed and Revisited

"This album (which got nothing to do with Natacha Atlas by the way, except for the fact that she performs one song) revisits old classical Arabic songs for the most part and re-interprets them through remixing and digital wizrdry. The problem is that this album lacks the ability to offer a new re-interpretation of these classics. The remixes play on a field that has been revisited a million times. Finally, the cover of the album does not mention Natacha Atlas. The title is Sanati by Toires. Why did Amazon.com choose to go with the misleading title (Toires AND Natacha Atlas) is totally beyond me. Is it to make Atlas' fans buy the album? If this is so, I am not impressed since this borders on misrepresentation."
