CD Reviews

I think I'm the only one...
D. Thomas | Seattle, WA | 05/12/2006
(3 out of 5 stars)

"I hate to rain in on everybody's parade, but this LP was "meeeeh."

Don't get me wrong, I think this album was VERY refreshing due to the current state of Hip-Hop. It's just not 5 stars. I found their approach towards "true-schoolism" dope. But, honestly my favorite track on the entire album was a song I heard on a comp. disc.

This is a solid effort for a debut and it shows promise in a group I will be checking for in the future. The topics of the songs are above average... I think my only draw back was the beats. Many of the beats are VERY SOLID, its just that some of the beat's samples sound out of key or the choice of samples clash with the mood of the track.

All in all I'd say this is an honest effort, but think as this group gets older, their LPs WILL GET DOPER."

"time machines it's just awsome ,having the power to bring you back to the 1995 hip hop scene with awsome beats and dope lirics this album's destinated to become a classic (at leas for me)and i think anybody that's over 20 years old and it's a authentic hip hop fan will agree with me .

to me it's the best album so far this year...."
4,5 stars: FFFFFFresh!!!

"To put it short, this album here is a must-get for all you pure hip-hop lovers out there that, like myself, lost touch with hiphop after the wu-era. Production is 5 star (check out "reststop sweetheart" or "the way things are"), the lyrics are humoristic (check out "spelling bee" or "personal ads") and the whole album got a nice jazzy summer-like vibe. So, invite your friends for a big-ass barbeque this summer and blow Time Machine through your speakers!!!!"
