CD Reviews

WOW, THEY REALLY ARE BACK!
campboy83 | Virginia Beach, VA United States | 10/18/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Tigertailz was one of those fringe hair bands that never really made it big in the U.S. during the 80s and early 90's. They have a distict sound, with vocals that are slightly raw, but with a musical punch. They can do ballads or sleeze rock equally well.

With that being said, I am glad that they have decided to get back together. This is the next logical step in their musical journey. (Forget WAZBONES, their throw-away last album) This is the true follow up to BANZAI and BERZERK. The sound is still intact, unlike many 80's bands who try to recapture what they had, and fail. There are a couple of modern sounding songs, but at their best, they have the wit and songwriting syle of Kix. Many of the songs go down like syrupy candy, but there are enough twists here to keep your interest. Tigertailz was never more than a 4-star band for me, so this ranks up there as THEIR BEST work to date!"
