Synopsis

Album Description
"The band strikes upon a notably individualistic chord, honing their crunchy hard rock into a taught, unified wall-of-Les Paul...the fact is that with all the stoner rock nodding-off going on these days, Throttlerod's focused assault and admirable songwriting economy are clearly their greatest weapons." - ALL MUSIC GUIDE The history of music has shown time and again that losing a member can mean a band's instant death. Thankfully, Richmond's Throttlerod had a skilled guide when making the transition from quartet to trio. Andrew Schneider, producer of Cave In and The Blue Man Group, has been with the band every step of the way, chronicling every new incarnation with a corresponding release. Nail not only follows in the natural progression Schneider has cultivated, but takes the boys into musically uncharted territory - the album is aggressively abrasive, with more emphasis on the punk & metal that inspired them to start a band in the first place. Producer aside, the one characteristic each of their albums share is the fact that the band couldn't have made a better album if they tried...that is, until the next one.
