"Another Japanese knock-off of an out-of-circulation classic session. Not only is the price inflated but the outsized packaging practically insures this CD won't be accommodated by most filing systems. Probably just as well, since the album warrants frequent playings. Gene Harris & associates are so light and tight in the groove that the recording might easily be considered the one to own if price and space dictate only one by the group. The microscopic print might as well be in Japanese, but at least the piano sonorities are immediately identifiable as Rudy Van Gelder's work. And the digital transcription is first rate. A bonus: the CD contains two additional tracks (11 minutes of music), which are not listed on the back cover."
