CD Reviews

Calling all HOOVERPHONIC & AIR fans.....

"...this duo from Belgium supposedly went to the TRIPHOP mecca of Bristol, UK, and borrowed PORTISHEAD'S old studio to record this little wonder of an album. Is it any wonder the final result is an album filled with songs cast under the same dreamy and innovative spell as their former occupants. I highly recommend this album also to all fans of HOOVERPHONIC and AIR. There seems to be something going on over there in Northwestern Europe that is conducive to some of the best new bands happening these days. And with a debut album this good, THOU has already joined the ranks of the best of em."
This is a must have

"I know these people and they are great as people to , they are hard working artists who are also not well known in belgium either (I hope it will get better in the future)
And maybe it will with their new cd coming out in belgium end september 2002 who will even be better than this one
Put us in tune is a real must have with those grat guitars of pim de wolf and bart vincent and the great voice of does de wolf , also not to forget that the album is produced by john parish(who also worked with pj harvey)
it has different kind of songs ,the softer touching ones like weak lady, amuse(my favourite) ,london, and colour the sun , and then you have the more stronger ones like perverts ,c'est moi ,up to me okeh and it all ends with the mellow song for the loverbirds , before we get lovers :)
one song sounds diffent than the other so you'll never get bored to it and that's what makes the band so good
they also have a strong live reputation (i can only agree that after seeing them more than 20 times)"
