CD ReviewsThe 2nd best Milwaukee band of the early-mid 80s 08/27/1999 (4 out of 5 stars) "I can't believe that they put this on a CD! Those X-Cleavers combined elements of ska, guitar rock, reggae, and 80's pop. Very good music, especially for its time, although now it would be considered fairly dated. "Silence the Critics" and "18 (Unprotected)" were their biggest hits on the Milwaukee scene, and pretty cool $&*! to be listening to as a teenager in the 80s. Great nostalgic value- worth buying if you know it. The best Milwaukee band of the early-mid 80s? The Femmes."
