Some fans were a little disappointed with their last album, "The Plague," but I think this album will be appreciated by those who were wanting the type of upbeat songs that were on "Songs of Desperation" and "Hellfire Hymns." Longtime favorites like "Crooked Man" and "The Bright Side" are among the standouts. My favorites are the faster songs, but the creepy slow songs hold the album together, too. "Swallowed by Sin" features Hank III on vocals, and it's a pretty good song. One of the songs to really stick out on the first listen is Johnny Cash's "I Walk the Line." Honestly, although it's a decent cover, it doesn't add a whole lot to the album in my opinion. Fans of the band are going to like this CD a lot, and people wanting to hear this band for the first time would do well to try this one."
