CD Reviews

Save Your Money
Call Me Katie | San Clemente, CA United States | 01/26/2006

"I just received my soundtrack copy of "Fun with Dick & Jane". If you were looking for the great music that was in the movie, you won't get it off of the soundtrack. I really liked the music compilation in the movie, but this CD is just what it is: a soundtrack, no singing, and more like elevator background music. So, if you are expecting the songs from the movie - don't buy this CD, and save your money."
Truly a Typical Misunderstanding

"Both the previous reviews have shown that some people simply don't pay attention when they're spending money. If the fact that the various tracks listed on the site included the name of different artists doesn't clue you in to the fact that it isn't a compilation of music by various artists, then perhaps listening to the preview clips would help. Also, perhaps researching the artist's name under the title of the album, "Theodore Shapiro," would lead one to conclude that he's not a pop artist - he's a composer. And a good one, at that.

The score for Fun With Dick & Jane is as lively as the movie itself, reflecting perfectly the light-hearted nature of the film. The main theme is fantastic and the rest of the music, while not being particularly amazing, certainly underscores every scene in the film - as it should. If you enjoyed the movie as much as the songs in it, you probably also enjoyed the score - and you'd probably enjoy the soundtrack. If you want the songs from the film, watch the end credits, write down the names of the songs in the film and buy the albums with those songs on them."
