Synopsis

Product Description
The Tequila Mockingbirds (George and Peter Pashoukos) describe themselves as a high falutin' acoustic duo specializing in quirky instrumental standards, blues, jazz and classic rock. The duo performs a mix of well known standards such as 'Moondance,' 'Summertime' and 'Over The Rainbow,' as well as the music of Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan. R&B nuggets include 'Ain't No Sunshine' and 'Dock of the Bay.' The holidays find The Tequila Mockingbirds trotting out favorites such as 'Linus and Lucy,' 'My Favorite Things' and 'Greensleeves,' though rarely performed the same way twice and never as you remember them. George Fletcher's credits include recording and/or performing with a number of nationally and internationally known artists such as Curt Smith (Tears for Fears); Jerry Marotta (drummer - Indigo Girls, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie and Paul McCartney); Randy Ciarlante (drummer for The Band): John 'Skinny' Regan (bassist for Ace Frehley, Stephen Stills and Peter Frampton); John Platania (guitarist for Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt); (the late) Steve Burgh (guitarist for Billy Joel, David Bromberg, Pheobe Snow); Commander Cody and his East Coast Airmen (a dream gig); Blue Law (as an occasional sub for legendary English guitarist Andy Powell, from Wishbone Ash); Darryl Jenifer and Gary Doc Miller (of Bad Brains); Larry Hoppen (of Orleans); Eric Parker (drummer for Joe Cocker); John Sebastian; the Coasters and others. George's groups have performed on bills in support of musical artists such as Ray Charles; J. Geils; Robbie Kreiger (of the Doors); Gandalf Murphy and the Slambovian Circus of Dreams; Roomful of Blues; The Wailers; Bo Diddley; Tracey Nelson; Commander Cody; NRBQ and others. George Fletcher was named one of the Saratoga region's 'Top 20 Over 40 Movers and Shakers' of 2005 by the Saratogian newspaper.
