Songs that echo in your heart and soul
Tangetman | Philadelphia, Pa. | 03/28/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I did't think The Painkillers could top thier last album "Medicine for the Soul" but they did with "State of Mind". Listen carefully to the lyrics to any of the twelve tracks. These songs aren't just melodious tunes or music to rock to, they're a personal message of endurance, sympathy and understanding to anyone who's ever had to live through hard times in thier life. My favorites:"Intoxication of life" will make you remember what's important in life. It can make your heart smile
"Mistreated" sounds like righteous anger for anyone who's ever been abused.
"Uncover Me" a tribute to all who were affected by 911.
"Goodbye" is an anthem of loss and farewell for a loved one, tempered with hope.
"Release" This is a song for anyone who's past will not let them go, or cannot let go of the past.Give this album a try, you will not be disappointed."

"I love the lyrics of their songs, they deal with everyday problems in family, love and of life. The song uncover me should be used as an anthem for the 911 event Cherish gets into her music and makes you feel it along with her.I have listened to numerous recordings by them and I enjoy them all, they keep getting better and better. Please everyone who reads this, give them a listen, you will be most satisfied."
