Synopsis

Product Description
The Mith Niles Project's "Long Time Coming" features the works of respected singer-songwriter Mith Niles and a teaming of top independent musicians, in producing a cross-genre album based on intricate guitar work, thoughtful storytelling, catchy melodies and subtle vocal harmonies. Co-Producing the album himself, Niles gathered some of his closest and most talented musician friends in searching for a heartfelt, embracing, yet raw acoustic rock vibe. The project employed multiple guitarists, bassists, drummers, percussionists, pianists and even a violinist - with each musician collaborating with one another in playing to their respective strengths on a song by song basis. The result is a testament to the fact that while great musicians can make great music - great musicians who are great friends can make awesome music! Released independently, the album was created without any artificial restrictions in fitting a specific genre. It bobs and weaves from acoustic, to acoustic rock, to hard rock, to touches of country, folk and even classical, with the focus being for each song to leave listeners with a subtle hook or an enticing melody. It embraces listeners of varied musical tastes and celebrates blending genres to create powerful storytelling through creative music styling. If a particular song doesn't grab a listener right away, it probably will on a subsequent listen ... and / or the next song on the album just might do the trick. The album's songs cover meaningful themes that are relatable to all listeners - songs about perseverance and overcoming obstacles, loving and losing, the power of the human spirit, trials of life - but all with a touch of humor often tossed in to lighten the intensity of the message, without lessening it. The title track "Long Time Coming" is a hard-charging rock cut, powered by a triple electric guitar attack underpinning lyrics about overcoming obstacles ("maybe it's the walls we hit that give us the strength to climb"). The album's catchy piano driven signature duet "Thank You (For The Ride)" relates the story of a hitchhiker to the process of finding friendship and love ... and will leave you instinctively tapping your foot. Songs like "Anymore" and "Aces" delicately and emotionally weave stories of the heart around acoustic guitar work harkening back to old-school singer-songwriters, while songs such as "Don't Care" and "No Problem Here" highlight a tight rhythm section led groove backing a rebellious nature. But perhaps the album's most poignant moments are the violin led tracks "One More Tomorrow" and "What You Gave" - each in their own way a testament to the power and bonds of family. The Mith Niles Project's "Long Time Coming" celebrates diversity in music as a strength and thoughtful storytelling in lyrics as an essential complement. Spend some time with the album ... drop it on your mp3 player, your laptop, your car stereo or wherever you enjoy your music ... you won't be disappointed!
