Synopsis

Product Description
Recorded during the sessions for Sagittarius's Blue Marble, this CD features many of the songs from that record with the original Curt Boettcher harmony arrangements restored. Recorded during the sessions for Sagittarius's Blue Marble, Voices of the Millennium features many of the songs from that record with the original Curt Boettcher harmony arrangements restored. (They were originally replaced by Gary Usher's Moog synthesizer.) Voices also contains lost cuts from Sandy Salisbury and Curt Boettcher. Digitally re-mastered. Pieces picks up where Begin left off, featuring the best of unreleased Millennium material. These songs were either left off their first album or intended for the never-released 1969 follow-up. The album was digitally remastered and includes exclusive liners by Jason Penick. It is essential listening for sunshine pop and psych-pop fans! ANOTHER GREAT CD BY SONIC PAST MUSIC

CD Reviews

Millennium - 'Voices Of The Mellennium' (Rev-Ola)
Mike Reed | USA | 12/31/2004
(3 out of 5 stars)

"'Voices...' is apparently an eleven-track compilation CD of demos that were originally meant for the band's 'The Blue Marble' record. After 35 years,it's now available to any and all potential fans.Millennium's sound is best described as harmless sunshine pop.The eleven cuts here were recorded sometime in and around 1969-70 by various on-and-off again band members. From what I could come with, here's the line-up for at least a few of the musicians involved:Curt Boettcher&Sandy Salisbury-vocals,Lee Mallory-guitar&vocals,Joey Stec-bass and Gary Usher-producer.Tunes like "Blue Marble","Magic Island" and "Midnight Sun" gives me the impression the group was influenced by the Beach Boys,Mamas&The Papas and The Byrds.Just Might appeal to fans of the Association,Sagittarius and It's A Beautiful Day."
