Product Description

Winter Hours, The Deep Dark Woods' sophomore release on Black Hen Music, is an album full of raw emotion, sadness, beautiful vocals and harmonies, new sounds, and well thought out arrangements. Working with Juno award winning producer/musician Steve Dawson at Vancouver's famed recording studio The Factory, they managed to bring out an energy that the new songs deserved, recording the album live off the floor. Winter Hours is a step forward from their widely touted first release Hang Me, Oh Hang Me, which was nominated for Best Roots Album at the Western Canadian Music Awards this year.

"Just love the music , 3 month ago i never even heard about the DDW.Thanks boys for making such great music,hope to hear much more from you even better make a tour through Europe, many unknown bands had made successful tours in Europe. Thanks to Steve Dawson also, i had the pleasure to meet and greet him in Leiden,the Netherlands ( my home town ).Hope to see you there too, you're more than welcome.

Keep on going making great music in the future. ( in the meantime i have all you're records )
