So Glad I Stumbled Upon This...
Ben Gibbard | 09/28/2006
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is a great EP and a great start for this unknown band out of Washington state. I recently stumbled upon this band online when I heard the song "Stars". That song alone is enough to buy this EP but the other four songs are great too.

Track Listing:

1) Brooklyn Bridge- A great opener to this EP. Starts out with a catchy piano riff and then the singer kicks in with the electric guitar. I really like this one. 9/10

2) Stars- This song might change your life. I listened to this song on repeat on their website and then promptly bought the EP for this song alone. Amazing. 10/10

3) Pen & Ink- This song is a change of pace fromthe first two as it slows down quite a bit. It has really grown on me and is a great song to just reflect to. 8/10

4) The Broadcast Debut- Another slower paced song which picks up about a minute into the song. I didn't particularly like this one at first, but I gave it a second chance and now I don't skip it. The guitar style kind of reminds me of old Death Cab. 8/10

5) Roller-skating- My second favorite on the EP. I really like the piano in this one and also the singer's voice shines through. 9.5/10

The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because it is too short! I am ready for a full length, and it is due out by Spring 07' at the latest. I'm not gonna lie, I'm pumped! Buy this EP."
