Synopsis

Product Description
A writer could pen words about each and every song on this CD, but one or two deserve particular mention. It's The Girl must surely have shown the way for so many vocal groups who were to follow. The singing is as near perfect as it is possible to get and the playing of the Dorsey brothers group - with the great Joe Venuti on violin and Eddie Lang on guitar is an accompaniment that any vocalist or group would be more than happy to have with them. When I Take My Sugar To Tea has some slick jazz playing from Tommy Dorsey and it's a sure bet that Irving Berlin would have been delighted with the girls rendering of Cheek To Cheek. Great songs, great playing and great singing show just why the Boswell Sisters and Connie Boswell in particular are still remembered and held in such high esteem.
