CD Reviews

The Answer IS The Answer!
John W. Greise | Missouri | 11/21/2008
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I saw them on The Letterman Show and was absolutely blown away...as was Dave who is a rock lover from way back.

It's very simple, if you like gut-wrenching rock, find Paul Rodgers' voice an ultimate voice to convey the music to your brain, and yes they also resemble Led Zeppelin...so what is so wrong with that?

Look at it this way, Robert Plant is singing ballads with Alison Krauss now and Jimmy Page is trying to reform Zep but with no success since the guys are older now and have lost a step or three.

The Answer, in my opinion, is a fabulous vehicle to keep rock and roll alive and well. These Irish dudes are killin' the crowds opening for AC/DC so well that even AC/DC members come out to watch them perform.

The guy who wrote the 1-star review is either a snob or is just trying to get some attention by calling them clones of Zep. Maybe they are to some degree, but please...tell me what's wrong with that!

Bottom line: If you love blues-based, hard rockin', diaphragm-clenching music...then here you have found it, THE ANSWER.

P.S. Special thanks to Ireland for giving us this ultra-kickass band.

ROCK ON!"

"The Answer is the the answer to rock. This is dirty, sweaty, and gritty rock n roll that sound like a modern Zeppelin. Too bad this is just an EP because I wanted to hear more. I would suggest purchasing their previous import CD. These guys should have a bright future ahead of them."
The Real Deal - Met These Cats From Ireland In Tacoma.

"I saw these guys with AC/DC at the Tacomadome. They reproduce just like the album. They convey the dynamics to the stage that you'll get on this well-produced masterpiece. After the show the guys checked out my favorite St. Patty's Day shirt "Irish Yoga" which depicts three Irish guys passed out in different positions and stated that they were Irish Yoga "instructors". Cool guys. They invited me and my bud over for drinks at a tequila bar called the El Matador in downtown Tacoma. We had some cocktails and talked about the musical influences and fishing, etc.. Really down to earth dudes and I learned they are pretty huge in Europe with who's who of Rock Royalty singing praises about their efforts. It was pretty funny to be rapping with them after they played for a crowd of 22,000 and probably few of which realized beforehand what a treat they were about to get. Although there is some Zep in the mix (a good thing), after talking to them, I think you'll find these lads putting out some tracks in the future that will go in many different directions musically in a really good way. These guys will be huge stateside after the tour. Can't wait to see a full two hours of them on their own! They also have an album out in March 2009 entitled "Everyday Demons"."
