This is an excellent album, with well-crafted songs, intelligently produced, covering a wide array of styles. Radigan sounds like Joan Osborne now, and now like the Cardigans, and now like Sam Phillips, maybe, with production by Todd Rundgren rather than T-Bone Burnett, and now like Matthew Sweet, and--is that bossa nova? There's just a lot of variety here, and it's all well done, and none of the lyrics are dopey. Her voice's principal beauty is flexibility. If you have 45 rpm ears in a wide variety of sensibilities, you'll like her.

Like fellow sistahs Amy Rigby, Carlene Carter and Susan Werner, Radigan aims for slice of life verities and sure-footed musical accompaniment that always sounds rich, well-versed and downright enjoyable. A little bit country, a little bit lounge, a little bit folk, a little bit rock, the album crosses genres effortlessly and with much charm. Each song is a winner and the production is up-close and personal. At the centre of it all is Radigan, sounding impressive and passionate. Take a chance on this one, you'll be amazed! Now, if only radio would wake up and play this stuff! One of my picks for Album Of The Year!"
