CD Reviews

Solid From Start To Finish

(5 out of 5 stars)

"First of all, the reviewer that gave this one star was basing his review on the seller and not the cd itself so his review doesn't count. There is a separate process for rating sellers and it should not be done here.

These are all classics. As the title says, #1 hits, each and everyone. If you are younger and aren't familiar with the songs, the first two and last two are r&b/disco classics of the mid tempo groove range except for maybe I Love Music which is a little bit more high energy. The other four with the exception of Me and Mrs. Jones are classic r&b songs which some might also consider crossover disco/dance. I do anyway. Me and Mrs. Jones is really more of a ballad and some might argue the same for Close The Door though I have no problem dancing to this song. This is a great listening to cd or a good cd for dancing to if you're not a high energy music person. Great music for house heads house party's where the vibe is groove/chill, and the people know their sh#& or for boomers feeling a little nostalgic. For those aware of BPM references I have added the track listing with running times and bpm's. The one drawback is that the MFSB TSOP is either the original LP or 7" radio edit and there was another version that was 2 minutes longer that is available on other cd's that easily could have been used on this cd with plenty of room to spare. So, I'll ding half a star off for that but Amazon doesn't have a way to do that so this stays at 5 stars. Other than that, these are the original full length LP versions.
