Bert Lucarelli, called "America's leading oboe recitalist" by the New York Times, made this, his first recording for the Musical Heritage Society, when he was in his mid-twenties. This is a digital reissue of that recording, made at the old Columbia Studios in New York in 1968. This is a rarely heard set of works, brilliantly played by the young Lucarelli. We do not know of any other recording of the complete Oboe Partitas of Telemann.
