"Well, I must admit I was a bit apprehensive on buying an all Gaelic CD, however my worries were turned to joy after listening to Suilean Dubh. Even though I couldn't understand a single word on any track, Sandra Mckay's voice is so pure and crystalline it really didn't matter. Andy's Saltire/Fear A Bhios Fada Gun Phosadh, Illean AI & BI Falbh O'n Uinneig(tracks 3,4,5) are so well arranged and sung you almost imagine yourself strolling through the Scottish country side in springtime. For those of you who are still a little shy about the all Gaelic nature of the CD, the jacket does contain the English translation to all the songs. So there you have...no excuses for not adding this to your Celtic CD library."

"I first heard this group's CD playing in a little shop in Edinburgh, Scotland. Once I found out it was Tannas, Suilean Dubh CD, I just had to find them through Amazon. What a delight! This is one of the best groups I've heard that carry on the celtic tradition in the modern world."
