"Ha! Made you look! Seriously though, I'm not a big fan of live recordings. In my experience some of them just fall flat. Not so with this one. Tanglefoot is one of the greatest folk bands I have ever had the immense pleasure of seeing live (four times, now, since Dec '03, and once singing with Tom Lewis, another great artist, btw). Their harmonies are distinctive and well-blended (that may sound like a contradiction, but you have got to hear them to understand), their subject matter is patriotic, romantic, sentimental, fiesty, agressive, and humourous. Am I missing any adjectives? Hundreds I'm sure! Highlights on this CD are the patter between (and amongst) the musicians and the audience, Secord's Warning which is sung a capella with it's gorgeous harmonies; Seven Aside, a great hockey song, gets your blood up; Dollar Bill, a song about a man who ran a prohibition era speak-easy; Awkward Donald, nice use of metaphor, Joe; and the never before recorded, There's a bit o' that goes on , sung a capella and quite funny. This CD is my favorite by Tanglefoot, mainly because I feel I'm there in the audience, and I just love to watch them interact with the audience and each other. Also the CD case itself is very interesting, a tri-folded job, a triptych or whatever you want to call it. They have very interesting liner notes and a humourous way of warning you about copyright infringement."

"Having just seen Tanglefoot for the first time in May this Album captures the very heart of there performance. For anyone who is a big fan of Canadian tall tales and folk heros, this album is a real treat. There melodies are simple and easy to listen too. The songs include great love songs to the lively lyrics of Traighil Bay where the bad guys do get to win on occasion. This band shows that Canadian Folk music, both traditional and new are alive and well. I recommend this album to anyone and everyone who enjoys a good story."
