CD Reviews

This is a wonderful CD
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Words can't express how wonderful this CD is, it's one of my favorite CDs and anyone I share it with immediately goes out and buys it. We also own Leaving Inverarden and though it is good, I love this one more! Some of the songs are haunting "Days of Sun and Wind", others sad "Logging Camp Christmas", and most are very jolly "Vacuum song" and "Alaska Highway Driver". As I write this description, the words to the song are going through my mind and I smile. This CD is a great family CD, it's the kind of CD where you press play and hit the road, singing to the tunes. I recommend this CD to families, lovers of folk music, and those people who are tired of trying to decipher lyrics to today's music!"
Favorite Tamarack album
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Of the three Tamarack albums I have, this one is my favorite (Leaving Inverarden is also very good, and Fields of Rock and Snow has both some kind of tiresome tracks and some really good ones). It covers a lot of geography and a lot of history. I can't think of another album right off that has songs both about vacuum cleaners and about the American Revolution (from the Tory perspective). I intend to repeat my last summer's practice of listening to music from cold places again this year, and this will be right at the top of my play list."
