Talleys Stretch Their Boundaries

"With this project, the Talley Trio further stretches its legs musically and climbs a fence between its Southern Gospel roots and a more Contemporary Christian sound. At least a couple of songs on this project would/could play on Contemporary Christian radio. The best ballad on the recording is "His Hand In Mine", the old Mosie Lister classic. Beautifully sung and interpreted by Debra Talley, this is possibly the best cut I've ever heard of the great song. "Mountain Mover", which finishes out the project, is the most fetching, upbeat tune on this Talley offering. "Mountain Mover" is definitely one of those songs that you will cause you to hit the repeat button. Lauren Talley continues to blossom vocally, and is featured prominently throughout the recording. My gripe with the record is that the Talleys seem to be pushing the envelope a bit to stray from where they came from, which is Southern Gospel. The disc definitely is splashed liberally with a newer Southern Gospel sound, and not much of the traditional. Some would even call it leaning more Contemporary than Southern. Nevertheless, the tracks, vocals, and mix of the group, along with the keyboard wizardry of Jason Webb make for a well-done project. If you love the McKameys and Inspirations, don't buy this project. If you are a fan of the Crabb Family, McRaes, and LordSong, you are going to like it a lot."
The Talleys have done it again!

"I love the music produced by the Talley Trio, and this album is no exception! This album definitely have a somewhat different sound than previous projects, but it is definitely not as different as Lauren's last solo project, which, in my humble opinion, did not live up to her past recordings.

This album has so much to offer from beatiful ballads such as their AMAZING renditions of "Orphans of God" and "To God Be the Glory" to some newer, upbeat sounds like those of "Red Letter Day" and "Mountain Mover."

If you love the Talleys, you should love this album!"
